When you sign in, Reto processes the account identifier, email address when provided, and name when provided by Google or Apple.
Bookmarks, quotes, nearby context, AI results, tags, and folders are stored first in the App Group local store. Local storage continues if iCloud is unavailable and sync resumes later.
When you turn it on, bookmark data is backed up to your private CloudKit database and syncs only with devices on the same iCloud account. It is not shared with another iCloud account and uses your iCloud storage.
Reto servers process sign-in identity, owned pets and pet settings, purchase and subscription status, capsule balance, and reward history. They do not store bookmark URLs, quotes, context, AI results, or folder contents.
You can use iCloud to sync bookmarks without signing in to Reto. Even with the same Reto account, bookmarks do not sync across different iCloud accounts.
Page context used for on-device AI reactions is processed with Apple's on-device model and is not sent to Reto servers for those reactions.
